CVs

The first step in our application process is a CV screen. Our main considerations are as follows:

1) Experience

We will be primarily reading your CV to gauge your strengths and abilities as reflected by your work and extracurricular experience. Your experience does not have to be directly relevant to strategy consulting, but we emphasise impact and engagement in whatever that you might have done - be it volunteer work, an internship or a school activity. We want to find out what you are passionate about, or what impact you have made in the past.

2) Presentation

We pride ourselves on our attention to detail, which has formed the basis of our successful client engagements and relationships. We expect this to be reflected in the CVs that prospective consultants send, which would be apparent through the absence of spelling, grammatical and formatting errors.

3) Succinctness

Our client presentations are inherently premised on delivering value effectively and efficiently. To this end, we look favourably upon aspiring consultants who can concisely convey impactful information. A CV of one page would be perfect! We understand that most of our applicants come from incredibly diverse and successful backgrounds, with a variety of experiences that may not fit on an A4 page. Rest assured, however, that we will encourage you to speak about your prior experiences during our interview process!

Cover Letters

Cover letters are not mandatory when applying to join us. However, candidates who wish to share more about their unique experiences and motivations for applying are welcome to append a 1 page cover letter to our application form.

A cover letter should not merely rehash your CV. Focus on what you bring to the table, as well as your thought process and motivations in applying to join us. There is not much else that we can really say on this, as cover letters tend to differ from person to person! We would encourage those writing a cover letter to check out our website in greater detail, in order to get a feel for what we pay attention to when looking at an application.

All the best!
